Dominique Perrault heads Dominique Perrault Architecture (DPA) in Paris and is a professor at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He has been internationally recognized with commissions such as the French National Library, EWHA Womans University, and the Velodrome and Olympic Swimming Pool in Berlin to name a few. His manifesto approaches the threshold between earth and sky as a topographic design medium, a three-dimensional ‘groundscape’ both utopian and pragmatic, that can transform the future of architecture and our cities. Through his studio at EPFL, he is participating in the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism with the International Studios Program focusing on the underground realm of the Eulchiro area.
